Volunteering

Be a Knight in Shining Armor!

There are many ways you can support the school by offering your time and talent. From lending a hand, to leveraging your experience, to fulfilling a leadership role, volunteerism is the engine that keeps our school moving. It's a great way to stay involved, deepen your connection with the community and positively impact our current and future students!

Alumni Board of Governors

The Alumni Board of Governors is a premier volunteer organization that provides advice and support in developing and implementing Alumni programs and services. Members also play important roles as ambassadors, greeting alumni at events and informing them about alumni programs and benefits. The Board of Governors promotes the advancement of the university and engages alumni of all ages and backgrounds.

Contact Katie Durno to learn more about joining the Alumni Board of Governors.

An affinity group for both African Alumni and students, the 4A Alumni Association is an alumni support and mentor program for newly admitted and current African American students and their families.

The Association also advises the current student-run 4A Club in meeting its yearly objectives. There are so many ways to get involved, including the 4A Fund and meaningful events. Join us!

MORE INFO

We're working to create a University Liggett School career network so that alumni of all ages can use their connection with the school to further their own careers and/or help other alumni to do so as well. We also want to connect current upper school students who need help with their Academic Research Projects with alumni mentors in a given field who can assist them with some (or all) elements of their chosen project/topic.

Become a Class Representative

Class Representatives act as liaisons between their class and the school, they help amass and organize Class Notes for Perspective (twice a year), and they inform classmates about news and upcoming events like reunions. Most classes have an official Class Representative. If you are interested in becoming a Class Representative, contact Katie Durno at 313-884-4444, ext. 413 or kdurno@uls.org.
