We are excited to help you get to know our school. For 144 years, Liggett has pioneered thought-provoking, transformative educational experiences for generations of students.

Our admissions process is all about building relationships. We work closely with each prospective family as they experience Liggett, navigate the application process, and determine the best educational path for each candidate.

Explore the resources below and make plans to attend a tour and information session. Know that we are happy to answer your questions and provide assistance and guidance.

Start today. Introduce yourself.

Start Early & Do Your Research

A University Liggett School education opens new doors for our graduates. It's important to understand what an independent school is, important timelines, and what makes University Liggett School unique.

Get to Know Us

We hope you will learn more about our school through this website, videos, and literature, but there is no substitute for a visit to our campus or connecting with an admissions associate.

We've outlined each step of our admissions process to make it easy to follow, but we're happy to answer any questions you may have at any point along the way. We encourage you to submit your application early.

Schedule a Candidate Visit & Assessment

An application must be submitted prior to scheduling a school visit and assessment. An age-appropriate visit allows prospective students to experience a typical day. An age-appropriate assessment will be conducted during the school visit for Prek- 8th-grade candidates. Upper school candidates attend a group assessment date.

Gather Required Documents

Once you've completed an application, your admissions associate will share the next steps. They differ per division and include completing or requesting others to complete forms on the applicant's behalf. An application will not be considered complete until ULS has received all required documents.

Wait for a Decision

Candidates may be admitted, wait-pooled, or denied. Decisions for applications received after the deadline will be communicated on a rolling basis. We encourage you to apply early.
