University Liggett School students earn top honors from the Michigan Council on Economic Education
Three University Liggett School students earned top honors in the Michigan Social Studies Olympiad Stock Market Competition.Â
ULS’s seventh-grade team, Samantha Laethem, Bebe Noecker, and Lexie Eden Spain, received a gold medal for placing first in the middle school division. The trio placed third overall. This state-wide competition gives student teams $100,000 to invest in an online simulation of the global capital markets. Â
The Michigan Social Studies Olympiad Stock Market Challenge is sponsored by the Michigan Council on Economic Education.Â
