University Liggett School students advance to Michigan History Day state championships

University Liggett School is proud to announce that 13 students are advancing to the Michigan History Day state championships at Central Michigan University on April 20.

Out of 26 ULS students who showcased their in-depth projects at the District 10 competition of Michigan History Day, an impressive 13 have been chosen to move forward to the state championship.

This year's District 10 competition boasted more than 160 participants, more than double the number from last year. We wish all our students the best of luck as they move on to states!

ULS students who will move on to the state championship are:

Fourth grader: Elliott Hemler, in the youth division, individual documentary

Middle School students: Mac Costanzo, Mac O’Reilly, Dalton Shaffer, and Hans Wimmer, in the junior division, group documentary

Upper School students: Elliot Karr, senior division, paper; Liam Kurtz, senior division, individual exhibition; Johnny Secco, and Griffin Marchal, senior division, group exhibition; Enzo Rossi, senior division, group exhibition; Annabel Klaasen, Zaire Polk, and Teresa Romanelli, senior division, group exhibit.
