University Liggett School is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of the powerful and thought-provoking play, Radium Girls by D.W. Gregory. The University Liggett School Players are set to captivate audiences with their rendition of this historical drama, shedding light on the inspiring yet tragic story of the Radium Girls.
The performances will take place at the University Liggett School Auditorium, with showtimes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 9th, Friday, November 10th, and Saturday, November 11th. Additionally, there will be a special matinee performance on Sunday, November 12th, at 2:00 p.m. During the Sunday matinee, the audience will be treated to a heartwarming rose ceremony, honoring the school's seniors, creating a poignant atmosphere before the performance begins.
Radium Girls tells the true story of young women in the early 20th century, employed to paint watch dials with radium, unknowingly putting their lives on the line.
