Joanna Miller ’04 named 2025 Ring & Founders Day speaker

University Liggett School is proud to announce Joanna Miller ’04 will be the featured speaker at the 2025 Ring & Founders Day.

“ULS was a huge part of my formative years, and I am extremely excited to be speaking at Ring & Founders Day,” said Miller. “This is a full circle moment for me – I spoke at Ring Day in 2003 as a junior. I still remember the excitement I felt back then, and I am looking forward to sharing my experiences.”

Based in San Francisco, Miller has built an extraordinary career by creating roles that align with her life’s purpose: fostering deeper connections among individuals and organizations. After graduating from Harvard, she worked as a fashion merchant before transitioning to training and development roles. She served as the lead of Levi’s global merchandising university and was the head of learning and development at Asana.

Miller currently owns and operates Joyful Leadership, an organizational development consulting firm. She has worked with Slack, Adobe, Discord, and other global companies to design human-centered, experiential learning programs.

Thanks to her non-linear career path, Miller has gained a unique perspective on helping people connect more to themselves and their environment.

Ring & Founders Day is an annual tradition at University Liggett School where the outgoing Senior Class passes the mantle of leadership to the Junior Class, who will lead the school the following fall. This year’s ceremony will be on Friday, May 9 in the Boll Campus Center.
