CLASSROOM VISIT

All prospective students spend time with classmates. Middle School applicants visit from 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Middle School applicants are paired with a current student host and will spend the majority of the day participating in a normal school day with their host. They will also participate in an interview with the Admissions Office. Lunch is provided for the visiting student. An application and Parent and Student Questionnaires must be submitted prior to the shadow day.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ENTRANCE EXAM

Every Middle School applicant must plan on attending the School Entrance Exam. The entrance exam consists of a math assessment, a reading assessment and a group problem-solving activity.

PARENT CONFERENCE

An informal parent meeting is required for all students applying to University Liggett School. These meetings may take place at any point during the admissions process. Most parents choose to meet on student visit days, but they can be scheduled by appointment.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

The financial aid committee determines financial aid awards for admitted students based on a family’s demonstrated financial need for grades K – 12. Financial aid is not available for Prekindergarten programs.

For families seeking financial aid, the financial aid application must be completed on the SSS by NAIS website (www.solutionsbysss.com/parents). The deadline for the first round of financial aid for Middle School is February 28, 2020.

There is a separate SSS application fee.

University Liggett School’s financial aid resources are finite. Applying for admission and financial aid early is strongly suggested for families requiring assistance for tuition
